Building a Legend - Gresley P2

We visit the new building for the A1 Steam Locomotive Trust, so exciting to see the new build by them, namely the Gresley P2, was fantastic to see long lost skills and engineering methods on display, having had fantastic success with building "Tornado" they just could not stop there, estimated to take seven to ten years to build at a cost of over £ 5 million, what a privilage being allowed into the workshop like this to witness a new P2 being born ten years after they built their first steam loco "Tornado", the staff told me there will be a high level viewing gallery looking down over the workshop area when the building is finished, they think the NRM has been foolish to remove their workshop and viewing balcony as they know what true railway enthusiasts want, sadly David Elliot the mastermind behind Tornado & the P2 passed away recently from prostate cancer before he could see the P2 finished, a permanent plaqe in his honour is to be fitted to both loco's, RIP David you gave us so much.
