The Israeli Broadcasting Authority justified the decision to postpone handing over these villages to the Lebanese army by stipulating the prior establishment of a robust monitoring mechanism that guarantees Lebanese control and prohibits Hezbollah's armed presence in advance, going beyond the mere deployment of regular Lebanese forces.
