Great starting point for this hike is Wimbachbruecke - https://goo.gl/maps/xgYYSNsfpojMBU6G7 Our goal is Wimbachgries Hütte - https://www.wimbachgrieshuette.de 8.5 km and 704 m elevation gain take you about 3,5 hours only to there. So definitely is good to start early in the morning and have a lunch break on Wimbachgries Hütte and on late afternoon you are back down . So even if this hike is classified as easy and the terrain is moderate , don't underestimate the distance. Wimbachgriestal is for me one of the most beautiful valley near Berchtesgaden or Salzburg. So if you are visiting Berchtesgaden, Wimbachgries is for sure one of the MUST hikes in area.
