Thinking About Finnegans Wake Philosophically with Deleuze | "Two Regimes of Madness"
In this lecture, I discuss some passages from Gilles Deleuze's essay collection, "Two Regimes of Madness," which I find applicable for thinking about James Joyce's "Finnegans Wake" philosophically. Using Deleuze's theory, typified here with its flows, processes, creativity, and meandering density, we will investigate the nature of signification's erring, textuality, the relevance of affect for literature, linguistic polyvocality, and much more.
