Strawberry picking is finished, so work on the farm is moving over to blackcurrants. I check how the bushes have grown on peat soil, what this year’s crop looks like, and mow the rows with the John Deere and Kellfri flail mower. Last year, frost destroyed the flowers, but this season there are berries growing. The later variety still needs a little more time to ripen. A full John Deere walkaround is coming once the summer rush settles down.
