Ajmeri Kalakand or Milk Cake, or Alwar Ka Mawa is an Indian Sweet Recipe, popular across India, loved by all. This sweet was first made by Baba Thakur Das & Sons in Alwar, Rajasthan. This sweet is made by Halwais or Sweet Makers by boiling the milk continuously until it reduces to one forth, after which lemon juice is added, to split the milk and to form grains. It is reduced further with sugar till it forms a thick dough. Later transferred into insulated boxes so that the sugar caramelizes in it.
