Prime Minister Scott Morrison has confirmed moves are underway for a royal commission into this year's disastrous bushfire season. One of the most contentious issues it will consider is fuel loads in national parks and state forests, and the level of controlled burning to reduce the risk. Despite extensive hazard reduction burning across the country over the past decade, some are arguing these fires are evidence that native forests need to be burned more - or even logged - to prevent another disastrous summer.
