Prinses Amalia onthult plaquette bij haar tulpentuin bij paleis in Madrid
Her Royal Highness the Princess of Orange - the future Queen Amalia - unveiled a plaque on Monday afternoon at the Plaza de Oriente in front of the royal palace in Madrid. It was at the small tulip garden that she gave to the Spanish city and its inhabitants. With this, she wants to thank everyone who made her stay in the city possible, during a period under special circumstances. Mayor of Madrid José Luis Martínez-Almeida welcomed her, after which the Princess said a few words of thanks. On 11 November, the Dutch ambassador to Spain, Roel Nieuwenkamp, together with Mayor Martínez-Almeida of Madrid, planted the first tulip bulbs on the Plaza de Oriente. The tulips are now blooming for the first time. Video: © RoyalTV/Rick Evers. All rights reserved.
