Angela Lansbury Dead at 96
Angela Lansbury has died. She was 96. The 'Murder, She Wrote' star's family says in a statement on Tuesday, 'The children of Dame Angela Lansbury are sad to announce that their mother died peacefully in her sleep at home in Los Angeles at 1:30 AM.' While she was best known to many as mystery writer Jessica Fletcher, Angela won five Tony awards across her prolific theater career. She also voiced Mrs. Potts in Disney's animated classic 'Beauty and the Beast,' and sang the musical's beloved title song.
