Pamplona's City Hall Square will host a rally this Thursday between members of the Basque nationalist left, organized by Bildu, and supporters of UPN who will back Cristina Ibarrola. The event takes place amidst a climate of enormous political and social tension triggered by the no-confidence motion against the UPN mayor. Local Police, National Police, and Navarrese regional police officers will be responsible for security from early morning. EH Bildu candidate Joseba Asiron warned his supporters that "the time has come" to win the mayoralty and called for "calm" after encouraging them to attend the rally, which will have "security" personnel from the nationalist coalition. #pamplona #plenary #upn Want more stories?
