A LAMENTABLE MUSICAL LOSS: PERUCHO NAVARRO, "THE SHOWMAN OF VENEZUELA," HAS PASSED AWAY. Pedro Rodríguez Navarro was an extraordinary Venezuelan singer, percussionist, composer, and arranger of tropical music. #PeruchoNavarro passed away at the age of 85 due to complications from biliary tract surgery, which led to his hospitalization for several days in an intensive care unit of a hospital in Galicia, Spain, where he had resided for the past six years. He was born on April 26, 1941, in Caracas, Venezuela, where he developed a passion for jazz and Cuban music from a young age. He achieved great popularity as a member of the group Los Melódicos. However, his career began with Anguera y sus Muchachos, and he later joined the Carlos Torres Orchestra. Later, he traveled to Mexico, where he fulfilled commitments in theaters and on television, and worked with the group Los Riviera. Subsequently, he signed with Combo Gigante, Renato Capriles' own group. At the same time, he worked with La Orquesta La Playa.
