In that moment she experienced how the Lord had saved her time and again. She felt free not only from sin, but from all her previous bad decisions. During this precious moment she shouted in praise: “I believe in everything You have done for me.” Then she began writing these verses while thinking about the joy of having Christ as our Redeemer. She also wrote the song while thinking of every person going through tribulation, and every woman or vulnerable mother amid pain or solitude, so that they can see there is salvation. Likewise, so every person can learn there’s happiness and that suffering is but a passing storm that causes damage and pain. Yet suffering can be healed, it can be set free, and it can be loved until it is left behind, or until it is turned into the strength to keep walking toward the joy of eternal life.
