ABOUT THE MONOCAST It all began when I spoke with Keith Farquharson, Chibhodhoro, and Philip Svosve on separate occasions.I was impressed by the wealth of knowledge they and other behind-the-scenes personnel possessed. So I contacted a few well-known podcasters and asked them to feature them as a way to preserve our history. Some refused outright, while others simply blue ticked me. It dawned on me that in the music industry, they are interested in the popular ones, such as lead vocalists and band leaders, to bring in numbers, which I understand and respect. But all I want to do is document Zimbabwean musical history and draw some lessons.
