Today, I test-drove the BYD Dolphin EV and shared why I ended up signing contracts for as many as 15 units. Actually, I had already placed orders for 12 Ray EVs and was waiting for delivery. However, at that point, the BYD Dolphin appeared, and I seriously agonized over the product configuration. Initially, I didn't have much interest in BYD even when the Ato3 was released. But after seeing the Dolphin's price competitiveness and option configuration, I felt I had to test drive it myself, and honestly, I was shocked after the test drive. With a driving range of 307 km, excellent energy efficiency, a glass roof, adaptive cruise control, and even an around-view camera—it is a full-option configuration that is essentially a full set, missing only the commonly mentioned ventilated seats, yet the price is in the low 20 million won range. Even if it weren't an EV, this level of options at this price would be surprising, but considering it is an electric vehicle, I felt it demonstrated truly powerful price competitiveness. Of course, I also like Korean cars and sincerely hope for the success of domestic electric vehicles. However, the current EV market is heading toward a structure where purchasing is difficult without subsidies, leaving much to be desired. I think we must now admit that Chinese electric vehicles have also improved significantly.
