Luxury Countryside Villa in Nandi Hills | Soham by Meeta Jain Architects

Not a house. A living landscape. Villa Soham reimagines how we dwell with nature. Villa Soham is not conceived as a conventional home, but as a deeply immersive countryside retreat in the hills of Nandi. Designed by Meeta Jain Architects, the project explores a more intuitive, responsive way of building, where architecture emerges from the land rather than being imposed on it. Set within a dramatic landscape of rock formations and expansive hill views, the home unfolds as a series of spatial experiences, thresholds, courts, and open edges that dissolve the boundary between inside and outside. The structure uses a refined steel framework with exposed concrete planes, allowing for lightness, adaptability, and spatial clarity. Outdoor living is not treated as an extension, but as the default condition, responding to the gentle, temperate climate of the Bangalore hinterland. The project evolved through deep on-site engagement rather than a fixed, pre-determined design. Decisions were made through immersion, iteration, and dialogue with terrain, light, and craft, making Villa Soham as much a process as a product. Video originally produced by Buildofy.
