Purbaya Rejects IKN as International Financial Center: Too Quiet! | Latest iNews Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa stated that discussions regarding the International Financial Center (PFI) are still ongoing. He stated that Bali is one of the location options being considered, although the government has not ruled out the possibility of other development options. "It's still being discussed. There are alternatives, perhaps some in Bali, but there may be several other locations as well," Purbaya said at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday (July 2, 2026). He emphasized that the PFI location will be chosen in an area that is most suitable and convenient for international investors. "But what is clear is that we will look for the most comfortable location for international investors," he said. Meanwhile, when asked about the possibility of development in the Indonesian Capital City (IKN), Purbaya firmly rejected the option because he considered it insufficient in terms of activity.
