The Fun Buggy! A Wooden Car for a Little Kid

I like to make gifts for folks for special occasions, and what could be more special than a new baby! What new baby doesn't want a wooden car? (Well, maybe it can be a room decoration.) But anyway... this "Fun Buggy" has a driver and a smiley face on the front, and it has some brightly colored parts! Some of my goals for this car were that it had to be "fun" (as a Fun Buggy should be), it had to be able to take at least some level of abuse, it should have no sharp corners, and since I planned to paint this, it could not have toxic paints (Right??). I tried all sorts of water-based paints, but in the end, I went with the acrylic crafts paints, sprayed through an airbrush. The point of this is to have fun, so don't bother with plans. Just grab some scrap wood, find a couple of wheels, and head to the bandsaw. It's gonna be fine. #woodworking #wood #toys #toysfortoddlers
