Meanwhile, the March chassis, making only its second Grand Prix appearance, proved its potential as Stewart kept his pace unchallenged. By the end of the 90-lap race, Jackie Stewart took a commanding victory — his first of the season and the first ever for the March team — marking the birth of a new force in F1.
