With your feet together try jumping over the object and landing on the other side but leave your upper body where it started. Once comfortable do a few jumps with the ball. Repeat this until comfortable with the jumping movement. Once comfortable with the jump, practice the jump and release without the ball. Get your body used to how the jump akka feels. When you feel good, try the jump and release with the ball. No kick yet. Once ready practice the entire jump akka including the kick without the ball from a standstill. Don’t worry about any defenders, just try it. After a few tries be confident and make it happen with the ball. As you start to get it and are ready to challenge yourself have a teammate be your defender. They shouldn’t try to tackle you, but rather apply light pressure. If you don’t have anyone around use your mom’s vacuum cleaner or something! Mom, the vacuum cleaner please! Be creative, but don’t break anything! ----- What’s Wrong: If the ball is not going far enough out to the side your timing of the release is off. ----- Bonus Tip! It's okay if you fall down. It happens to the best of us.
