Lydia, who felt a connection to her soulmate at first sight, even left her stable job in the UK to travel the world with Ki-hwan for nearly five years to conquer the waves. Then, suddenly, they made Jeju Island their home. It has already been three years since they began living in Jeju, captivated by the ever-changing winds of the island. The two are still adapting to life on Jeju. Lydia, who came from Poland, is a talented individual fluent in no fewer than six languages, but she feels incredibly small in the face of Korean. They say Korean is difficult, and the Jeju dialect is even more so. However, Lydia, who greets people in broken Korean, is a huge hit with the locals. The kite surfing the couple enjoys resembles their free-spirited outlook on life.
