JUDY COLLINS & TOMMY MAKEM - "The Great Selchie" HD 1992

Judy Collins is joined by Tommy Maken on the tin whistle in this performance of "The Great Selchie of Shule Skerry," taped in 1992 for the TV special Songs Of The Sea. Makem was a hero of Irish folk music, who had a thriving career both in the States and in the UK. For many years he toured with the Clancy Brothers. Born in Northern Ireland, he died in New Hampshire in 2007, at the age of 74.
