That’s when I learned the heartbreaking truth: the woman who lived here had recently passed away, and since then, the yard had been left untouched. No family coming by. No one checking in. No one able to take care of what she left behind. The property had simply been forgotten. In that moment, I knew exactly why I was standing there.
