Combined with Towne’s love for Raymond Chandler and film noir, he crafted a script that would be studied in film classes for years to come. We asked Nicolette to take a chance on a film made two decades before she was born... the result was a mix of nostalgia for the time period, love for the writing and performances, and of course… shock and awe at the film’s ending and construct, as it does not follow many of the formulaic conventions we are so used to seeing today.
