The Union Cabinet has approved the expansion of railway infrastructure between Ballari and Guntakal, a major connectivity project benefiting Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. The project includes the construction of two additional railway lines over a 46-kilometre route, with an investment of around ₹1,264 crore. The development will feature multiple bridges, including a major bridge over the Vedavathi River, and is expected to enhance passenger movement and freight transportation.
