Minister Gemma Arias Vasquez reflects on becoming first Gibraltarian woman to address United Nations

Minister, Gemma Arias Vasquez has highlighted the sending of a UN delegation to the British Virgin Islands - another British Overseas Territory - and believes this should be a precedent for a visit to Gibraltar. In her address before the Committee of 24 yesterday, she urged the UN to send a fact-finding mission to the Rock in order to progress decolonisation. Speaking to GBC afterwards, she also reflected on being the first Gibraltarian female politician to speak at the UN.
