Whidbey Island with Kids

Here are some of our favorite things we did with kids on Whidbey: https://treehousedad.com/visiting-whi... Coupeville: We loved wandering Front Street, the wharf, shops, and waterfront with the kids. Langley: Langley was great for strolling, browsing shops, and enjoying a livelier small-town feel. Forever summer sunsets: Summer sunsets on Whidbey felt like an evening event all by themselves. Clam harvesting: Clam digging was a fun family outing, even though we did not find much. Island County Historical Society Coupeville Museum: The Coupeville Museum was a fun and surprisingly full rainy-day stop. Deception Pass: Deception Pass was one of our favorite big outings for views, beaches, and rock skipping. Berry picking: Picking blackberries and eating them later with ice cream was one of our sweetest summer memories. Mushroom tour: Our mushroom tour was a highlight, and we loved cooking the chanterelles we found that night. Beach walks and Rosario Beach: Beach walks were one of our favorite free activities, and Rosario Beach stood out as a top pick. Whidbey’s Greenbank Farm: Greenbank Farm was an easy stop for open space, trails, and a little Whidbey history. Bayview Farmers Market: Bayview Farmers Market was a fun family stop for food, music, and local finds. Oak Bowl: Oak Bowl was an easy rainy-day activity that worked well for the whole family. Watch deer: Seeing deer everywhere, including a rare white one, felt a little magical. Drive-in theatre and arcade: The Blue Fox Drive-In was a big hit for movies, arcade games, and go-karts. Drive around: Even simple drives around Whidbey were beautiful and felt like part of the adventure. Whidbey Island Fair: The Whidbey Island Fair was a fun summer outing with rides, food, and a lively small-town feel. Admiralty Head Lighthouse at Fort Casey: Fort Casey was a great family stop for the lighthouse, bunkers, beach, and wide open space. Whidbey Playhouse: Seeing Beetlejuice at Whidbey Playhouse was one of our favorite indoor evening activities. Olympic National Park: Olympic National Park made an excellent bigger side trip, and we loved spending nearly a week exploring it. Quick trips to Seattle via ferry: Seattle was close enough for an easy side trip, and the ferry ride made it more fun for the kids.
