Dame Zandra Rhodes: Designing an outfit for Freddie Mercury

Dame Zandra Rhodes is known for her colourful prints and bold shapes, and over the years these designs have often times attracted the attention of many household names, including iconic Queen frontman, Freddie Mercury. To celebrate his birthday, and the inclusion of one of his kimono's in our Kimono: Kyoto to Catwalk exhibition, we caught up with Dame Zandra about what it was like to design an outfit for him, and where his love of kimono came from.
