S1 E5 Përmet, Bënjë, Uji i Ftohte, Albania - Bountiful Nature Awaits You!

Përmet is a great town and the gateway to numerous outdoor activities such as river rafter, hiking, rock climbing, and bicycling. I was told by Albanian sources that Përmet cuisine is the best in Albania. I was also informed that Përmet has the best distillers in Albania. So good, apparently, that they are also master forgers of name brand spirits! You'll have to be the judge of that because I don't drink alcohol. You can also drive out to the thermal waters of Bënjë, which are less than 30 minutes away by car. The old Ottoman bridge is the perfect backdrop while you soak in one of several pools, or cover yourself in mud! Further up the the highway, the roadside wonder of Uji i Ftohte is a worthy stop to buy some local products, take an espresso, or dine on some tasty cold water trout, all the while marveling at the artesian waters flowing endlessly from the mountainside in cascades. #albania #albaniatravel #albanianature #permet #ujeftohte
