Agago District Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Kidega Nok explains why the Government of Uganda quickly responded to Agago's appeal for emergency food relief during the ongoing hunger crisis. In this address, the RDC reveals that Kampala trusted the request because it was backed by united leadership—from LC1s, LC3s, district councillors, the District Security Committee, Members of Parliament, and Agago LCV Chairperson Wilson Otto. He says the coordinated documentation and verification convinced the government that the hunger situation was genuine. Kidega also confirms that food relief was redirected to Agago after government verification and that more support, including seeds for the next planting season and humanitarian assistance from partners, is expected.
