Глиссирование надувных лодок. Какая лодка лучше выходит на глиссер и почему.
Hello friends! Inflatable boats are a sore subject for fishermen and hunters. But yachtsmen, even with the most minimal use, always ask which boat is better to choose for a yacht. I am preparing a whole opus on this topic. It will be released soon. And today I want to offer you answers to just a couple of simple questions. Which boat is better at planing and why? The entire Internet is filled with Froudeists, explaining any phenomenon from the point of view of his research. I ask you to read about him. Yes, he was the founder of hydrodynamics, but he died in 1879. He had not heard anything about planing at all. He did not work with inflatable boats. And they have nuances. And the Froude number, invented by Froude himself, is calculated by modern shipbuilders using other formulas. But these are trifles. We will not calculate it at all. We just need to understand what planing is and why it is needed. So, in displacement mode, any boat moves submerged in water. And the higher the speed, the more the water resists. At some point, the resistance of the water becomes so great that no matter how hard you push, you won't go any faster. I think that everyone who has run on water has noticed this effect. When I explain this to children, I say that at speed the water becomes thicker. But people are also very cunning. They have learned to use this effect. Remember how in childhood they threw flat stones over the surface of the water. It was called a frog or a pancake. This is exactly this effect. Something flat quickly flies over the water, hits and bounces off. Because it is fast. A glider is exactly the same thing - sliding on the surface. And the most important thing is to make a boat that can climb out onto the water and push it to the desired speed. Experience has shown that a speed of 20 km/h is already enough to move on the surface of the water and push off from it when touching, and not to sink. And now let's talk about how this happens on an inflatable boat. The speed increases, the boat's nose begins to rise. Higher and higher. Because some amount of water collects in front of it, which did not have time to run away to the sides. This is called a hump. And then the boat must overcome this hump. As soon as it has overcome it, it levels out along the surface and begins to slide. At this point, much less engine torque is needed, but the speed must be maintained. Because if you reduce it, the boat will not push off from the water, but will sink again. And again, the entire path over the hump must be overcome. Everything seems clear. But for some reason, the logic does not move further and questions begin to arise. So, which boat is better at planing? Let me give you a couple of tips. Have you ever seen a surfer on a keelboard? Any. Kiting, wake, wind or wave surfing use flat boards. You also choose the flattest stones for throwing along the water. Do you know why? Because it is the flatness that glides best along the surface of the water. And the larger this flatness, the less speed is needed. Next comes the next tip. When you push something uphill, what is easier to push, an empty or a full cart? I think this is also obvious. It is the same with boats. A lighter and less loaded boat will overcome the hump more easily. And the last question. If you attach something to you that clings to everything, will it slow you down? So why does anyone doubt that the keel slows down on the water? It seems that the answers are obvious. We take the flattest and lightest boat and it will be easiest to get on the plane. It is clear that among fully inflatable boats, a flat-bottomed boat with a rigid high-pressure inflatable bottom will win. Moreover, the better it is pumped up, the easier it will be for it to go on planing. And again, I repeat, the keel is a braking element during planing. Because it works in displacement mode. And now, I want to explain to you what it is needed for. The keel is a guide along which the boat slides. And this reduces its yaw. And also - with a slight bounce, the keel is the first to plunge into the water and reduces the impact. That is, the boat begins to go smoother and softer. 🌍 http://youcaptain.info - school of yacht captains "You are the captain!" 👍 / youcaptain ❤️ / youcaptain_info 💌 / тыкапитан .
