EMIRATES A380-800 EK413 Economy - Christchurch to Sydney, Manaia Lounge, Live TV at 35,000ft (4K)

To end a quick weekend visit to New Zealand, instead of catching the usual Qantas flight back to Sydney on the B737, the A380 with Emirates was the chosen flight of choice. Having only Carry On luggage, I could skip check in and just go straight through security before spending some time in the Manaia Lounge (shared lounge used by 5-6 different airlines, plus access for Priority Pass members). Boarding and departure was on time, with Economy being mostly full. There was only 2 options for the inflight meal, and by the time they got to Row 85, only the Beef was available (unlike other airlines, Emirates did not provide any status recognition (Platinum), nor asked for meal preferences prior to service. This is something Qantas, Japan Airlines, Cathay Pacific & British Airways are very good at). On top of this, on 3 occasions I requested a drink, none of these requests were fulfilled (crew were too busy in the galley taking selfies with the company issued Polaroid camera... (the curtains might be closed, but a little hard to hide the flash continually going off)). I did have a few ‪@emirates‬ flights booked in August between Prague & Dubai, plus Dubai to Sydney, needless to say, both have been cancelled. I had better service on ‪@jetstarairways‬ the day prior, so alternative arrangements are in the process of being made. Apologies for no approach or landing video, aside from the cabin lights not being fully dimmed, everyone in surrounding seats had there reading lamps on, so all that was visible was reflections. On a positive note, being able to watch live TV and the Rugby League was a good way to pass the time. Please support my channel by Subscribing.
