An instance parameter

An instance parameter lets you change values per individual family instance, not all copies at once. Here’s a quick summary Open or create a Family in Revit Create geometry and add dimensions Select the dimension → Label → Add Parameter Choose parameter type (Length, Yes/No, etc.) Select “Instance” (not Type) Lock geometry to reference planes Load family into project Each placed family instance can now be edited individually in Properties
