Trunk Seal Install on Triumph TR4 - Fixing a Common Problem With Replacement Rubber

We go about modifying and installing a trunk / boot seal in our 1964 Triumph TR4. In a Wegs Garage first, we start the day knowing our new parts will not fit right! The replacement seal we are using (from Victoria British 10 years ago) is too thick for proper fitment of the boot lid. Armed with knowledge of this problem, we go about making modifications to allow the trunk to close easily while still sealing. Check out the video to see how it is done! This video is part of our Triumph TR4 DIY interior installation series. We are installing a Moss Motors honey tan carpet kit in our Triumph TR4. The underfelt is the synthetic jute kit from The Roadster Factory. Instructions for the TR4 interior kits are difficult to find. Hopefully this video is helpful for anyone out there attempting a similar project. Many components are similar between Triumph TR3, TR4, TR4A, TR5, TR250, TR6, Spitfire, and many other British cars.
