The Order of Byzantine Divine Liturgy

The Community of the Beatitudes belongs to the Roman Rite and responds to the Church's call to share in the spiritual heritage of the Eastern Rites. The Byzantine tradition takes us to the roots of the Mass. The Liturgy is the fruit of Christianity's "Golden Age," the 4th century, when a flourishing spirituality united Constantinople, Jerusalem, Alexandria, Antioch, and Rome. [email protected] Byzantine Divine Liturgy, Catholic Mass, Syrian Kurbono-Sacrifice, Armenian Patarak-Sacrifice, Coptic Prosphora (Offering), Chaldean or Ethiopian Kuddasha (Sanctification)...all follow an "inner unity of structure" (Irénée-Henri Dalmais, O.P.). This video names most of the parts of the Byzantine celebration of Eucharist. Fr.
