Nature-Based Climate Adaptation for Coastal, Harbour, and Urban Areas Against Storm Surges

As sea level rises and storm surges become more frequent, it is crucial for coastal areas, harbours, and waterfront developments to adapt. Significant assets are at risk and must be protected. Coastal protection should be adaptive, as it will need to be strengthened and expanded over time. Nature-based climate adaptation offers sustainable solutions with numerous benefits, including enhanced nature, biodiversity and recreational spaces. In this webinar, we will explore how nature-based strategies can be implemented to protect open coasts, waterfront developments and harbours from storm surges. We will highlight four recent projects in Denmark that exemplify adaptive coastal protection, increased nature and recreational value, and other client-defined objectives.
