A Memorial for Joe Sample in Mammoth Lakes, CA.
On November 2, 2014. close friends and family of JOE SAMPLE, composer and legendary jazz pianist, gathered in the Restaurant at Convict Lake to honor his memory in a 'Celebration of Life.' Joe was a long time resident of Mammoth Lakes before returning to Houston. An avid Skier, he found the inspiration for "Street Life," one of many hits, while riding on a chair lift. He will forever be in our hearts. Contributions can be made to The Joe Sample Youth Organization, which he founded for the children. The slideshow audio is from his album "Invitation."
