1950 Olds 88, 303 Rocket V8, Straight Pipes, Bagged & Dropped, Sounds ABSOLUTELY Filthy.

James Dahnert, owner of Six of Swords tattoo shop in Carson, walks us through his 1950 Oldsmobile Rocket 88 — and the story behind it is wild. This is the body style he fell in love with years ago, chased through a build for a friend, lost, found again on Marketplace right before his motorcycle accident, lost AGAIN during Covid… and finally landed in his driveway thanks to Pat Britton. In this one we get into: 🔧 The 303 Rocket V8 — one of the first production overhead valve motors ever made 🔥 Straight side pipes, no muffler, no cat, just pure sound ⛽ Bagged in the rear, 3-inch drop up front, sitting just right 🥃 The Redbreast whiskey overflow bottle (yes, really) 🎨 Future plans: satin black bottom, loud flake top, fresh pinstriping, and maybe a new name — "Veda," after his grandma This Olds is 76 years old and carries the fingerprints of everyone who's owned it. James breaks down why hot rodding isn't going anywhere, what it means to be the caretaker of a car like this, and the small touches that make it uniquely his. If you love 50s customs, vintage iron, and real stories behind the builds — you're in the right place. 👍 LIKE if you'd daily this Rocket 88 🔔 SUBSCRIBE for more rides, builds, and shop interviews 💬 DROP A COMMENT: Is it bad luck to rename a car?
