In this fiddle tutorial, I describe and demonstrate fiddle chopping or, "the chop", from the most basic single chop to some complex funky grooves. I refer to numerous other fiddle chopping videos, particularly those by Casey Driessen and Darol Anger. I discuss the appropriateness of chopping in various contexts, and warn about the dangers of over-doing it.
