HOW TO TREAT ARMPIT SCAR TISSUE PAIN AFTER BREAST CANCER: Massage and Stretching Techniques

If you've been through Breast Cancer Treatment, you may have experienced pain in your armpit (axilla). There are quite a few reasons why armpit pain can occur after Breast Cancer Treatment, but in this video I'm going to specifically discuss armpit pain that is caused by scar tissue, and what to do about it! The two main reasons scar tissue pain occurs in the armpit is due to surgical removal of axillary lymph nodes, or the latent affect of radiation treatment to the armpit which is called radiation fibrosis. However, it is important to get a diagnosis from a trained Medical Professional that is experienced in treating patients with Breast Cancer as to WHY you have pain in your armpit. I'll explain how Massage and Stretching techniques can help reduce or even resolve scar tissue pain in the armpit, and why it can be important for a Therapist to also be involved with treatment of this issue. I'll show a really effective stretch for the armpit region which ultimately means you can self-manage this issue once diagnosed and educated.
