Squash analysis - The amazing benefits of cross court drives
Quality cross court drives will help you dominate the play as it makes your opponent reach and change the direction of the ball as they try and time their movements to have the power to play a quality shot. A straight drive follows the same line and is far more predictable for position when you strike. You need to take a cross court drive on the rise add deception or go very wide to make sure you clear the volley and also make sure it does not come out too wide off the back wall but get it right and you are doing far less work than your opponent and forcing them to boast. Cross drives are very powerful when you get them right so develop a game plan where you hunt for cross court drives to set up easy winners.
