A resident at Heather House, 12 year old Betsy arrived unwanted from the pound, severely overweight she could barely walk. She was incredibly ill and ended up having 21 bladder stones removed, and spent a week in the vets in intensive care. She was very nearly lost. Betsy is now resting up and enjoying life at Heather House, a refuge for for senior shelter dogs in Northern Ireland. “Betsy’s a complete character and let’s none of the residents away with too much.
