Why vegan-organic food can't happen
Episode 10 - The Rule of Return. Today we discuss the fundamental rule of soil, that nutrients removed must be returned. This can be done through fertiliser or manure, making vegan-organic agriculture unsustainable. The 'macro' nutrient cycles of different systems are outlined, within which specific nutruent cycles operate. Tolhurst Organic is discussed as an exception, using labour intensive horticulture and green manure to produce vegan organic food. The Biocyclic Vegan Standard is discussed and rejected.
