Cinema at Home: Back to the Future (recreating ABC Cinema 1985)

Remember going to the cinema? How about going to the cinema in the 80s? This little programme recreates the experience of going to an ABC theatre in December 1985 to see Back to the Future - everything but the film itself! The trailers, ads and logos are all accurate for the time, and Kate Bush's Cloudbusting video, also included here, played on the big screen as a supporting feature. A great deal of research and resourcing went into making this as accurate as possible, but I'm always keen to hear of any improvements that might be made! Enjoy this directly before watching the film itself, or just on its own as a slice of nostalgia for the way a trip to the movies used to be.
