Art was not merely a skill he learned over time; it was something deeply rooted in him from the very beginning. Rico Palacio, a Leyte-based visual artist and sculptor, is known for creating diverse and expressive works of art across multiple mediums. His artistic portfolio ranges from oil, watercolor, and acrylic paintings to mixed-media creations and detailed clay sculptures. Through years of dedication and creativity, he has developed a style that reflects both technical skill and deep artistic passion. At a young age, he was already exploring various artistic mediums and developing his creative abilities. Growing up in an environment surrounded by art greatly influenced his passion. His father, a sculptor himself, helped create the iconic statues found in Palo Cathedral, exposing him early to the world of sculpture and craftsmanship. Perhaps having inherited the artistic talent from his father, he went on to hone his skills, experimenting with different materials and techniques that would later shape him into the accomplished artist he is today. Over the years, his works have become reflections of culture, emotion, and imagination.
