Joaquin Murphey w Ozie Waters & The Plainsmen Transcription Disc 1946

Joaquin Murphey Steel Guitar backing Ozie Waters & The Plainsmen recorded in 1946 ? This came to me in a digital file as I don't have this disc. The Plainsmen were started by Andy Parker with Hank Caldwell and Charlie Morgan.You may notice that the early 78s are either listed as just The Plainsmen or Ozie Waters & The Plainsmen.When there early 78s were made they were not yet a established band and Coast Records was a brand new label. It looks like it was smart to bring in Ozie Waters,another fine singer, a well know name having already made several movies and had made some earlier recordings on Coast Records.They also brought in the great (Joaquin Murphey - Steel Guitar) (George Bamby - Accordion) and (Harry Sims - Fiddle) which made them a much more versatile band. The Plainsmen will always be known for the great vocal harmonies.It does seem a little strange to me that there first two Coast 78s were both 2 sided instrumentals.They are both hard to find now days. I guess they didn't sell to well.
