Another Segment, Another Story #AliKuyogTa Cebu Highlands Trail (CHT) Segment 3 was a redirected segment hike due to the restrictions of the borders of Cebu South and devastation of Typhoon Odette last year 2021. We are excited to see what Cebu South has to offer and be ready to see the sight affected by the typhoon. Our route Barangay Mantalongon, Barili and we pass by Carcar City, municipality of Sibonga then Mompeller, Argao. Next day will be Barangay Manapay, Dalaguete then Mantalogon Dalaguete, the summer capital of Cebu and the route we take will be the vegetable highway route. What is Cebu Highlands Trail (CHT)? It is an exploration of a route that would pass over the rugged spine of the island of Cebu from North to South or reverse. Once completed, it would make possible for anyone to hike Cebu along the mountain ranges from Maya, Daanbantayan to Liloan, Santander. It is patterned after the Pacific Crest Trail and the Appalachian Trail of the USA. CHT Segment 4B Summary: One of the painful routes, it’s like you are doing Ultramarathon due to the long distance while carrying a full load of around 15 to 20 kgs.
