Police investigate 'worst maternity scandal in NHS history'
Police are investigating whether criminal charges should be brought against Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital Trust in what has been described as the worst maternity scandal in the history of the NHS. Richard Stanton and Rhiannon Davies have helped push for the investigation after their daughter Kate died just six hours after her birth in 2009. Incidents involving hundreds of families are being examined, dating from 1979 up to this year.
