BARBADOS DHALPURI ROTIS STEP BY STEP

Rotis are served in Barbados, it's made with regular all-purpose flour and baking powder. These rotis have a wonderful flavor when served with spicy saucy dishes. Roti bread has is a great recipe and It makes a super easy and delicious flatbread. It is amazing when served with curry flavored meats. Dough Recipe 2 1/2 cups flour 2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp baking soda 1 1/2 cups hot water 1 tsp oil combine all ingredients together except oil add water slowly into flour making a soft ball, pour oil over ball, cover and let sit for 40 mins. Slit pea recipe 1 1/2 cups split peas turmeric powder garlic cumin salt black pepper culantro 1/2 fresh red pepper Boil peas for about 15 to 20 mins, until peas are still firm when squeezed drain water and leave to cool add all ingredients to food processor and blend flatten dough in hand and add peas, close dough by twisting. Add flour to board, take rolling pin continue to gently flatten dough, heat oil pan and brown on both sides for about 12 sec each time.
