2016 Benson, NC Mule Days Parade Highlights

It was great to see so many "elephants" among the mules today in Benson, NC for their annual Mule Day Festival & Parade. Among the many floats, school groups and civic organizations who participated, several candidates for elected office also joined in. Leading them was Governor Pat McCrory, along with Attorney General candidate Buck Newton, Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey, NC Supreme Court Justice Bob Edmunds and District Court Judge Paul Holcomb. One young lady really stole the show with her dance performance! Lots of fire trucks from neighboring departments including antiques, tractors of every type, and of course, mules!
