The wife of a respected and wealthy citizen, Charles Kessler (Bela Lugosi), dies in a car accident after leaving him for another man. Devastated and desperate, he loses his mind and believes that her spirit is haunting him, leading him to commit horrific murders. When the police discover that one of the victims of the crimes, the housemaid, is the former lover of her daughter's boyfriend (John McGuire), he is found guilty and sentenced to death. However, after his execution, the murders continue, leading the executed man's twin brother to try to uncover the true perpetrator. The cast is rounded out by the young Polly Ann Young, and it's worth noting that in 1997, director Joseph H.
